A little information about ourselves,our website and it's contents,the nature of things that become our design and the random ramblings meant to entertain the reader:

Ourselves:
Formed in the summer of 2006, Whitespace is a mutli faceted studio that promotes and markets brands through Art/Design.The studio is the brainchild of two brothers with a diverse background in event management,marketing,art and design.

The website and it's contents:
First off we have to admit that when designing this website we went through at least 10 different layouts and concepts (yes we're indecisive,but aren't we all?) to finally settle on this version.One of our major influences for the design/layout of the website were "Experimental Jetset"- an Amsterdam based design collective who have inspired us always with their wonderful minimalistic approach to design as a whole.This website is our tribute to their wonderful presence in world.Thank you!

And now moving on, here you'll find an assorted collection of our works including

doodles / cancelled projects (sigh!) / sketchbook scribbles /  absurd photographic ventures / personal philosophy / and misc. works. that we've done over time.

Over time we hope to evolve the website in terms of content and structure, as we plan to embark on a lot of interesting self initiated projects in the next few years. We will try to update the site as and when time allows us, but incase you're interested in being in the loop, then just drop us mail and we'll surely keep you informed about our upcoming projects.

Things that become our design:
We've been asked a lot of times by our friends,clients and fellow designers- what excatly is it that we do?  And well truth be told we aren't really sure because we don't want to be typecasted, so we just smile and tell people-"Art/Design". But then with much pestering we add on and say we dabble in illustration and design projects for the Hospitality, Retail,Advertising and Corporate sector.We also offer print solutions for our clients-both Digital and Offset- if and when requested. We also art direct our in house art zine -  "cliche" (due to be launched January 2008).

We don't really follow a design principle when approached with a project, we ususal mull over the concept and the brief for a while till something just happens to show itself to us as an accidental mistake and then we go ahead and use that to structure our thoughts and employ our skills to the
concept. We experiment a lot and we're always looking out for like minded collaborations.

Random ramblings:
Whitespace also acts as a cover front for Vivek Premachandran's lobrow art antics and self initiated experiments with new forms of publication and conceptual art forms. His choice of medium for traditional art being ink,pencils and anything else that he can get his hands on when he's idle.His working hours are almost insomniac and filled with coffee and cigarettes.When not working he irritates his two dogs,eats,sleeps,reads at will,or just hangs out with his brother.He tends to do nothing productive but tries to be creative. Period.
